2022 Festival News
We are so sorry that we’ve not communicated earlier with you.
Thank you for your patience but please believe us when we say we have done our very best!
Please stick with us until the end of this message; we still have big plans for 2023 but it’s with a heavy heart that we have to announce that the Corbridge Festival 2022 will not be going ahead. Despite our very best efforts, we have simply been unable to secure a suitable venue.
Covid forced us to postpone the event in 2020 and 2021. We poured our efforts into finding the perfect new venue to host the 2022 event, somewhere which would accommodate a growing event with world class acts and a boat load of talent. We pushed on organising it but sadly, the new venue on which we had pinned our hopes and with whom we’d spent a number of months negotiating terms, let us down.
We entered the new year with a stellar line-up, but no venue. It was set to be our most exciting festival to date, with some of the biggest names in music heading to Northumberland. We had big plans; We hoped to make up for the lost years, to compensate for 2 years of missed memories and to make things up to you.
It's not all doom and gloom, however. We can still make this happen and we have every intention of doing so in 2023. We have our eye on a breathtaking site and we promise to hold on to the line up and deliver the most incredible event next year.
We asked you to allow us to hold on to your ticket money because we had every intention of putting the event on and whilst we acknowledge that there are other live music events taking place this year, circumstances are different for each event.
If you decide to hang onto your tickets, this will mean the world to us and they will, of course, be valid for next year. For those of you who've applied for a refund through our ticketing agent, we understand and we hope to see you again in the future.
We are genuinely sorry for not communicating earlier but we were always hopeful that we could secure the right forever home in time to put the festival on this year. We sincerely hope that you will continue to back us and to help us grow our little shindig into something even more special in the future.
We will make an announcement about Corbridge Festival 2023 as soon as we can but rest assured, it will happen and it will be magnificent!
